Herbal Medicine

Herbs are one of the oldest healing modalities known to man.

Ancient man used Moxa (AKA Artemisia vulgaris or Mugwort). Chinese medicine uses Moxa to both warm parts of the body, specific acupuncture points as well as for the healing power of the smoke itself. Quality Moxa is aged for at least 5+ years.

Chinese herbal formulas are available as patent medicines from many vendors. The Dancing Bear Healing Center only buys herbs from reputable herb providers, i.e. Kan Herbs, Mayway, Evergreen Herbs and Blue Poppy. these vendors as all cGMC certified.

We also carry Sombra, Devita Rx, and selected homeopathic products.from Heel and Boiron.

The Original Bach Flower Essences® are used as an addition to many treatments at the Dancing Bear Healing Center. They are included in Soul therapy and can be included with other treatments upon request. We also sell the Flower Essences at the Clinic. These tinctures are powerful emotional level healing potions. Additional information is available at Dancing Bear Way.

Facial Rejuvenation

Facial Rejuvenation is available as either an adjunct treatment to a regular acupuncture treatment or as a separate treatment.

When done as an adjunct only a few needles are used on the face to help lift lines/creases.

As a separate treatment the entire face is worked on with needles, micro-current and colored light to help stimulate collagen, tone the skin and tighten the skin. An herbal face mask is also applied that uses herbs to enhance the skin tonifying affects of tightening the skin. We use "Pure Beauty" Glucan Bio-Cellulose Masks which hydrate, smooth out wrinkles and whiten blemishes. We use a special gel containing gems and other nutrients during the microcurrent process.

Before and after photos are taken so that people can see the results as they take place.

No one can stop the aging process but with care it can be slowed a little. The treatment course is weekly for 10-20 weeks depending on the skin condition. A second round of these treatments may be required for some skin types. Follow-up sessions are needed every three to six months to maintain skin tone. This will vary by skin type.

Discounted pre-paid packages are available.

For the convenience of our patients we also carry selected Devita Rx products such as day cream, non-metalic deodorant and non-drying facial cleanser.

Hypnotherapy and guided imagery are sometimes used to enhance the therapeutic affects of our treatments.

Separate hypnosis sessions are also available.

More general information on hypnosis can be found at Dancing Bear Way.

Weight Management

At the Dancing Bear healing Center we have several options to support healthy weight management. Many times this can be combined with treatments for other conditions such as pain.

These different types of healing processes include specific acupuncture treatments in the ears (auricular acupuncture), special points on the body as well as the use of hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy can also be used as a stand alone process. Chromotherapy - Colored Light Healing

Healing with Color adds another dimension to Acupuncture. The main meridians, organs and 5-Element theory all have assigned colors.

  • Wood (Liver and Gall Bladder) color is Green (sometimes Blue)
  • Fire (Heart, Small Intestine, Pericardium, & San Jiao) color is Red.
  • Earth (Spleen and Stomach) color is Yellow (yellow)
  • Metal (Lung and Large Intestine) color is White
  • Water (Kidney and Urinary Bladder) color is Black.

Color can be added in a number of ways.

  • Etheric Weavers of the appropriate color can be added to heal a specific meridian and/or organ. This adds depth to a traditional acupuncture healing.
  • Colorpuncture® can be used for powerful treatments of most conditions. Some of the treatments include: resistance to healing, constitutional treatments, emotional treatments, spiritual treatments, astrology based treatments and many more. Additional information is available at the Colorpuncture.org site and at the Esogetics site (by founder Peter Mandel). These sites are not related to DBHC.

The Color healing process involves colored crystals inserted into a penlight that shines light through the crystal which has been placed on specific acupuncture points. Special cut crystals are also used when needed.

Below is an image of the Penlight with the spectral colors red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, and violet.

PerluxSet

Below is an image of the flat crystals that are sometimes used. The meaning of the colored crystals is based on 5-Element Acupuncture theory:

 The Fire Element Crimson
 The Earth Element Light Green
 The Air Element Turquoise
 The Water Element Rose

Elemental Crystals

Articles on Colorpuncture are available at: www.colorpuncture.com/articles.html as well as www.colorpuncture.org/articles_main.html

Separate treatments with Colorpuncture only are available. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Vibrational Therapy - Sound Healing

Healing with sound vibrations is an ancient modality. The Ancient Chinese medical texts (Su Wen, the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine) mentions sound healing and identifies acupuncture points that respond well to sound.

At the Dancing Bear Healing Center music is part of the therapy. We also incorporate tuning forks into some treatments.

Treatments that consist completely of various sound techniques are available. This may include tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, sound bowls, rattles, drums, and other tools.

These treatments are excellent for people who are particularly sensitive to needles or who want to experience a different but intense healing experience.

There are also treatments for "Healing the Healer or Wounded Healer" that are very powerful. If you are a healer or care giver then there are spiritual level issues that need to be healed to rejuvenate you.. There are specific tuning forks for this type of treatment.

Most of the tuning forks used at DBHC are made by the Kairos Institute (not related to DBHC).
